Production in Africa: the road map is under discussion
The delegation from the Republic of Burundi, headed by Maize Sagamba, the Senior Economic Advisor of the Second Vice-President of Burundi, has arrived on a visit in LISMA. The delegation also included Freddie Mbonimpa, the Mayor of Bujumbura, Com Manirakiza, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry and other officials and businessmen.
Let us remember, that in April was signed the Memorandum between LISMA and Burundi, in terms of which it is planned to establish the plant for lamp production in Burundi. Studying and formation of the road map for this project have become a key objective of the visit.
As well the delegation of Burundi has set out the other possible areas of cooperation with Mordovia: supplies of instrument-making and cabling products, of hard plastic clad fiber, medicines, and possible foundation of joint ventures for production of the above products in Burundi. These and other issues were discussed during the meeting with Vladimir Sushkov, the Chair of the Government of Mordovia, and directors of Saransk factories "Tsvetlit", "Saranskkabel", "Biochemist," "Saransk cannery factory" and others.
As was noted by Igor Konstantinov, General Director of LISMA, it is very important for the company to enter the prospective market of fastest growing East Africa, so everything will be done fare-the- well for enhancing cooperation with Burundi.
